The Clue Series
Limited Edition
Three scents built for people who look twice.
Perfume is supposed to smell good and be wearable. That was always the goal. But there is something that happens when you design a scent with intention beyond the notes. When the structure of the fragrance itself carries meaning. Anosmic molecules that mimic the way a palindrome begins and ends. A bridge note left out deliberately so the contrast hits harder. Accords built from memories that only one person fully understands.
Everything I make hides something. I love that there is always more below the surface. The fun of IYKYK. An unbeatable crush, words with double meanings, accords of special memories. The stories mean more to me than I can explain here, but parts of them live in these bottles for you too. Hidden in the names. Woven into the notes. Waiting for the right nose.
What does it mean to look twice? These scents are made in the hope that you keep smelling them. Keep finding things.
Honey N.O.
Honey was the first. It started as a thought about sweet things that persist. I wanted to find a way to express a crush that never ends. It reminded me of palindromes, a word that spells the same forward and backwards. No matter where you go, you’re back at where you started. I imagined how that would be a a scent. Sweet honey blooms at the atomizer. Spritz it and you’re welcomed with anosmic notes. Maybe you smell it, maybe you don’t. As honey continues, there’s a bounce of florals and stone fruits. Can you smell the purple bubblegum too? This is the scent of innocent crushes. Sweet, happy, and cyclical.
Honey, beeswax, garden party table of florals and plucked stone fruit, purple bubblegum accord, anchored by vibrant ambers, oh and honey again.
Pocket Pear of Aces
We’re at the high-rollers table now! The bar is open and cigars are laid out ready to be lit. This is a watery grainy pear scent soaked in booze and tobacco. This is the kind of scent that belongs at the end of a good night when something unexpected happens at a party you almost didn’t attend. There is luck in this bottle. A winning hand you did not see coming. The name contains something worth finding. Count the suits. Count the letters. Deal yourself in.
Asian pear, boozy accord, tobacco, suede leather, a lucky accord.
Must Let Go
You’re in the green. Deep in the forest. Taking in the earth in the early morning after a misty dawn. The trail is getting crowded and the scent of tourist hikers is growing. You just want to sit by your favorite tree but the bridge is broken! Can nothing go your way? There are two things written in this name. One tells you what to do. The other tells you where to go.
Hinoki, green citrus, cumin, after-rain forest
